US Stainless is a small, family-owned business operating out of Richmond, Virginia. We offer an extensive range of AISI 316 stainless steel hardware suitable for boats, sailing, living near the beach, or anywhere rust and corrosion are a concern.
Metal shackles are the most commonly used items to connect chains or ropes. They can be utilized in towing, anchor lines, dock lines, and more. Shackles are classified by shape, material, size, and working load limit, with various types and shapes used for different purposes.
Our line of shackles is manufactured from type 316 Stainless Steel, widely regarded as the best in class. 316 stainless is highly corrosion-resistant and durable even in harsh conditions, often referred to as "Surgical Steel" due to its frequent use in the food handling and medical industries.
Ideal for marine use, diving, and chemically harsh environments, our marine-grade stainless steel shackles offer several specialized designs:
Bow Shackles - The curvature of the bow allows for loads along various angles without developing a bend, making them often used to connect chain to anchors.
Wide D Shackles - The wider body maximizes the mounting area, making them ideal for use on mooring buoys.
Hex Pin Shackles - The hex pin creates a non-snag surface, great for connecting to anchors.
Anti-Off Shackles - The safety pin prevents unlocking, making them ideal for permanent connections where a threaded pin might come undone.
US Type D Shackles - The larger US-style pin allows for heavier load limits, making them perfect for in-line loads where a normal pin might bend.
US Type Bow Shackles - The larger US-style pin on these bow shackles also permits greater load limits, suitable for situations where a normal pinned bow shackle might bend.
Long D Shackles - The longer body provides a greater weight-to-strength ratio.
Twist Shackles - Designed for when you need to rotate gear for connection, without using two connectors.
Key Pin Shackles - These allow for quick, single-handed release, great for situations requiring frequent shackle disconnection.
Standard D Shackles - The shape and curvature make them ideal for in-line loads, though they should not be side-loaded, as this can cause bending.
All of our stainless steel 316 shackles are corrosion and rust-resistant, ensuring a long service life, with quality construction providing smooth, reliable operation.
