US Stainless: Your Trusted Source for Premium Stainless Steel Hardware
Who We Are We are a small, family-owned business operating out of Richmond, Virginia. We offer an extensive range of AISI 316 stainless steel hardware, designed to withstand the harsh conditions of boats, sailing, and coastal living where rust and corrosion are a constant concern.
Shackle Line Metal Shackles are the most commonly used hardware to connect chains or ropes. They can be utilized in a variety of applications, including towing, anchor lines, and dock lines. Shackles are classified by their shape, material, size, and working load limit. While there are many types of shackles, specific shapes are preferred for certain uses.
Our shackle line is crafted from type 316 Stainless Steel, widely regarded as the best-in-class material. 316 stainless steel is highly corrosion-resistant and maintains exceptional durability, even in the harshest marine environments. This "Surgical Steel" grade is the go-to choice for food handling and medical applications, ensuring uncompromising quality and performance.
Bow Shackle The curvature of the bow shackle allows for loads along various angles without developing a bend, making it often used to connect chain to anchors.
Wide D Shackle The wider body of the D shackle maximizes the mounting area, making it an ideal choice for use on mooring buoys.
Hex Pin Shackle Hex pin shackles create a non-snag surface, making them great for connecting to anchors.
Anti-Off Shackle The safety pin on anti-off shackles prevents unlocking, making them ideal for permanent connections where accidental release must be avoided.
US Type D Shackle The larger US-type pin on this shackle allows for higher load limits, making it perfect for in-line loads where a normal pin might bend.
US Type Bow Shackle Similar to the US Type D, the larger US-type pin on the bow shackle provides greater load-bearing capacity, ideal for situations where a normal pinned bow shackle might bend.
Long D Shackle The longer body of the Long D Shackle allows for a greater weight-to-strength ratio.
Twist Shackle The Twist Shackle is great for when you need to rotate gear for connection, without the need for two separate connectors.
Key Pin Shackle Key pin shackles allow for quick release, often single-handed, making them suitable for situations where the shackle must be undone frequently.
D Shackle The shape and curvature of the D Shackle make it ideal for inline loads, though it should not be side-loaded, as this can cause bending.
